Or, as I call it: tbotg in short. This is a manga project that I’ve started to think of, a long time ago. Actually it passed almost 2 years, and yet, I couldn’t bring myself to work on this project. Or, maybe I just wasn’t satisfied on the characters I thought of, and the most important thing: my art capabilities were still lame. I think now I can draw ok, and even if there is A LOT of place for improvement I guess this will just have to come in time.
The tbotg is a story of a priestess revived in present, a young, modern girl, who has nothing special, a handsome young man who has a twisted life, and a lot of mystical, magical, comical, mysterious adventures – I can’t tell too much because I don’t want to spoil the mystery.
Below is the very first page of this story, which is starting with a thecnique named “ex abruptus”. anyway, here it is:

For now, this is kind of it. But, I promise to finish the first chapter until the end of September. So “stay tuned”

Hi,
This is one of my characters, named Ana. She is one of the main characters of my future story “The Book of The Gods”. Even though my characters are still suffering some modifications, their personalities will stay the same. BUT, for this one character, I am sure that even the appearance will stay the same. I am kinda satisfied with her features, in body and facial too.
Her qualities are the folowing:
- pretty, as you can see;
- she is good at school, but she is not popular; she is even bullied sometimes by her classmates;
- she has some spiritual powers hidden, that everybody will find odd;
- she is average in sports;
- she can’t cook!
- she lives alone due to her parents that have left the country to go to work in Spain; her mom is a nurse and her father is a doctor;
- she is a shy person.
Here is her looks. She is wearing her night clothes
And this is a closeup with her face:

What I like the most are her lips, which I consider very beautiful; kissable!
Well, I will wait for your comments!

Hi,
I’ve worked at my portfolio and this is the layout I’ve come to. I really like the outcome, but I really think that I should make something a little bit simpler – with fewer colors – so that the site would load faster. However, I haven’t started to work on the programming part, because I haven’t had the time and also because of this inability to decide if I will use this or not. Anyway, I really like this layout and I want to use it…I will think a little bit more at this!
Well, here it is!
Please comment!

Yesterday I saw how the logo I made for www.mka.ro is now happily staying at the top of the business card of the general director, and also the other employees’ business cards. I am happy because this is my first printed logo
I’m going to show you below how one of the business card is looking like.

P.S. the business card’s design is not made by myself, so I’m not taking credit/critics/whatever for it
Bye-bye!

Or “The book of the broken hearten gods” is a new manga project that i am working on. I have the basic plot and the main characters thought out. The 2 main characters are already drawn and i am now refining them. In order to start to actually write the first chapter – which already has a preliminary idea and form – i have to finish creating all the main characters. I want to make a group of 5 up to 7 characters (3 of them which will appear the most) on which i will focus. I want to make also some good negative characters. But i want to take it step by step.
I will post here some of my sketches of two of my characters: the priestess/warrior and her antagonist. For now are sketches, but soon enough i will post some digital work on this manga. I hope you will like it and that you will encourage it!

Now that you have a glimpse of what will contain, you just have to wait the real deal – or updates to the status

In this post i will show you the evolution of a drawing.
First is sketching what you want to do on paper (or on your computer):

Then you scan i imported it into a program computer – Adobe Illustrator to ink it:

Then add some basic colors:

After this you just have to add some shadows and some highlights – i did this in Adobe Photoshop, and Voila!

Well, i like to use Adobe Illustrator for shadows and highlights too, but i just tried to use PS instead.
Thanks,
Hariana

Yesterday i thought seriously at the idea of having a personal portfolio. So, i took a piece of paper, and started to note some ideas of what information it should contain and how do i want it to look like.
I think that the best option for the name – and logo – of a personal portfolio is the name of the “owner”, even if it is a person name or a company name. I’m going to name my portfolio “Adriana D” – my surname is a bit complicated and i don’t think it is appropriate for a logo.
Next up is the logo: i tried to make 3 different logos – i actually drew 5 on paper, but i only selected 3 to make their vectorized form. Because i know exactly what style i want in my design, i don’t need to look too much for an inspiration: it is very easy when you are the client and the designer at the same time.
Then i just drew 2 forms of how i want my layout to look like – also on paper, so that i can make the computer based design easier. I always put my ideas first on paper, because it is easier and you don’t have to be accurate at all – for example the mascot that i drew – the manga representation of myself – in the sketch of the layout has the form of a stick. You don’t have to draw beautiful, but be sure you know what it represents – so that you won’t be in trouble later on, when you do the real thing.
Today i started to build up the layout in Adobe Illustrator – i will build first the layout because i want to make it at the best of my ability and i don’t want to have any constrictions like the logo or mascot, which i am going to make later on.
Because i haven’t done much, i’m just going to stop here, and update whenever i will be adding more elements to my design. But, before closing the post, let me give you some articles that i read before starting:

Hi,
I really liked the sketch of this police girl and i thought: “what if i’ll make her an illustration too?”, and i ended up working in Adobe Illustrator and i drew her little by little. The style i drew in is manga style, as usual. The time necessary for this illustration – up to seven hours.

I’ll be waiting for questions from you, and i hope i’ll post a new illustration soon.

This is my new work…i’ve had some inspiration, but all the elements here are done by myself. The swirls and twirls are made in illustrator and than placed in photoshop where i added some more effects and the text.

I’ll wait for some comments!
Thanks,
Hariana
